Our Story!

In June of 2010 my friend Melinda and I decided to go to a summer Soiree.  It was in a town called Purcellville, VA.  We dressed in white and beige.  Here is what it looked like when we first arrived.
There were a lot of people at the party and we had a lot of fun.  We met a lot of new friends.  While we were both talking to our new friend Erik, his friend Matt walked up behind him.  I just remember thinking that he was tall, and cute.  Matt and I started talking, and I learned that he loved to play basketball (that's my type of guy!)  Matt and Erik decided to go, and Matt never asked for my number so I just figured he was not interested.

I wish I would have taken a picture with the two of us, but this picture is the best I have.  Matt is the guy in the beige shorts and white shirt with his head cut out of the picture.
After the party Melinda told me Erik got her number.  I did not think anything would happen between Matt and I, but a week after we met Erik and Melinda set us up on a double date with them.  We went to Chevy's for dinner, and then watched a movie.  The dinner conversation went really well and we actually had a lot in common!  Matt is a twin too!!!

He also loves to play basketball and tennis.  A few days after our first date Matt asked me to go play tennis.  We ended up playing a tie breaker, and I barely beat him!  He went on a vacation to NH, UT, CA, and Africa for the whole month of July.  When he came back in August we were always together. I knew there was something special about him!!!

Wedding Day Bliss!

We are married!!! Matt and I were married in The Salt Lake Temple on May 19!!  It was the happiest day of my life!  The sealing was amazing and something I will never forget.

When we got out of the temple it was raining, but it did not ruin anything... I have heard that it is very good luck if you have rain on your wedding day.

Taking pictures in the rain was a bit of a challenge.  We had a white garbage bag, and we would place that where I was going to stand so my dress would not get wet or dirty.  Then we would hurry and drop our unbrellas, take a few pictures, and then put them back up.
It was amazing to see so many of our wonderful friends and family.  We are blessed with so much love and support.
