Eagle Pointe Is Under Construction!!!

This is Matt with a guest post.  Megan and I are pleased to announce that we are building a house! It is a Craftsman style rambler in a new subdivision in Erda, Utah, just down the road from Megan's parents.  The foundation has been laid, and we are anticipating a move-in date of late July or early August.  Our lot has a couple of large old trees, and a nice view of the Great Salt Lake in the distance.  We are planning on throwing a big house warming party at the end of the summer, and if you are reading this, than you are invited.

Washington DC/ East Coast Fun!

We have so many fun memories in Washington DC.  We made so many great friends.  Here are just a few....

Mark came out to DC with BYUI and we were able to meet up and go to dinner and the temple.

Matt and I went to many Nationals games.  They were fun and exciting!

I first met Matt's family when we went to the beach with them.  I had so much fun!
Matt took me to Great Falls when we were beginning to date.

Glenn beck came to Washington DC.  Matt and I were able to go watch him speak.
We got to spend a lot of time with Summer and Jake.  They live in West Virginia while Jake is attending Medical School.  We have a lot of fun with them!

We went Kayaking on the Potomac River.

We went to a Halloween carnival and Matt did a pie eating contest!  He won!  haha

The Proposal!!!!

I wanted to write the story of my proposal!  Matt did such a great job!

I came home from work to this card and these roses sitting by my bed.  The card said, "Pack your bags we are headed for a warmer climate tomorrow morning."
Aren't they gorgeous?!  He did such a great job!  What a surprise!!
After knowing that this could potentially be the proposal day, I immediately called my sister, and we both went shopping for the perfect outfit.  We would send text messages back and forth, and finally came up with this...

The next morning Matt and I took the Metro to the Reagan Airport.  I had no idea where we were going!  What a surprise!!!!
Matt checked us in for our flight, but still would not tell me where we were going....
Before we got to the gate he told me we were flying to Florida for the day!  We flew to Ft. Myers Airport.
This is a picture when we are waiting for our car ride to the beach!  We ended up going to Sanibel Island.
Sanibel Island is known for having the best seashells in America!  It was gorgeous, and the weather was perfect.  It was sunny and 70 degrees.
Matt lead me to a quiet part of the beach where we were all alone saying the seashells were bigger and better.  We then began to find seashells, and would show each other the new charms we found. As I was down on the ground looking Matt said come look at this one!  I turned around and he was down on one knee with the ring.  It was the most magical experience.  One I will never forget.  I of course said YES!
It was so much fun to spend the rest of the day on the warm beach together, as a newly engaged couple.

We flew back to Washington DC that night.  What a perfect and romantic day!  I love him so much!  I am the luckiest girl in the Universe!!
